A lot of good stuff about overcoming fear and anger and about detaching from old habits, integrated with Joseph Campbell's "hero's journey" and similar. There is some weird stuff. Seaward says that a strange symbol occasionally appears on his hand while he is asleep and he wonders if aliens put it there. When he hears that scientists don't yet know what 95 percent of human DNA does, he asks: "Does the ego have its own gene? And if so, did this gene somehow deactivate the other 95 percent of our DNA? What would we be like as a species if we had full access to the entire strand of DNA?" He is also a fan of Caroline Myss whose book The Sacred Contract of America memorably made me ill almost a decade ago. Compartmentalizing this stuff out, it is a worthwhile book.
