Review # 1 was written on 2016-05-03 00:00:00 James Killebrew This was an interesting book that caught my eye to see what people had to say and/or offer for advice. Since there are multiple people who are offering what they learned and many different ages combined together it does make for an chaotic yet interesting read. Of course when almost any child truthfully speaks it brings up feelings while there were a few of what they had learned that had me giggling aloud to myself. Sadly it is also learning what they had learned but not getting the whole story that bugs me since it makes me wish to know some of the stories behind the lessons for they are truly probably one-of-a-kind and with an awesome backstory for the listener. The book also contained a few black-and-white photos that were mainly grainy. I am not sure if the attempt at the pictures were to reflect memories of if it was just the way the printing came out to be but it didn't seem to add much of anything to the book for me in the end. But altogether this is a good little book that allows you to take a time out and see what others have learned while assessing yourself to see if you agree with that lesson whether having faced something similar or not. Then as the book says pass it on.... |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-12-28 00:00:00 Donald Clark Really liked the format. I love reading books of short quotes of wisdom. This time I highlighted the ones that made sense to me and maybe I'll look back and remind myself later. There must be a million books like this one, but I always enjoy them. |
