Review # 1 was written on 2013-07-18 00:00:00 Frank Petermann I'm always on the prowl for quality writing texts that honor the sacred, transformative dimensions of creative process--and Janet Hagberg's is solid. I suspect the subtitle, "a spiritual journey to great writing," was the publisher's idea as Hagberg focuses far more on forming great processes than achieving great writing. While some of her personality typing and application of systems to writing fell short for me, the heart in this book is trustworthy. I'm copying out her lists of questions to ask writers about their work to use in my classes; they're excellent.

Review # 2 was written on 2019-03-29 00:00:00 Damian Cook I think this is a remarkable book in the area of spiritual writing. A spiritual approach to writing is a deep, complex approach that includes facing your demons and your angels. Although the title only mentions angels, Hagberg really addresses both. This book has enabled me to get into my writing in a deeper and more spiritual way. I highly recommend this book and am hoping to use it with a spiritual writing group I have been leading through my church.
