For a complete novice it could have done with some pictures just to show an absolute beginner what they’re cooking should look like.

It takes the reader through the basics of cookery, explaining ingredients along the way. It breaks down recipes into manageable step by step processes and proved invaluable when I was first learning to cook. The recipe portions are adjusted to make meals for one, which is brilliant when freezer space is limited, or you just want to cook one meal. Recipes sizes can easily be adjusted to increase the quantity. Highly recommended.
