Review # 1 was written on 2014-04-05 00:00:00 Ashone Putman Great read! Fun read with lots of useful information. The author is one of the top turkey hunters in the US. This book inspired my first Fall turkey hunt.

Review # 2 was written on 2011-04-13 00:00:00 Jon Jensen This is not a book filled with tricks and tips for killing more turkeys. Though the Colonel does offer many takeaways and techniques, it is more than that. This book fully encompasses what it means to be a turkey hunter. The joys, the frustrations, the addiction... all of it! It is filled with sage wisdom that has come from years of experience, wisdom learned through success.... and wisdom learned the hard way. There are many instances that he describes where he has learned hard lessons where all I can think is, "yep... I've been in that exact scenario..." This truly is THE book on turkey hunting! Not because of the tips you take away, but because of the aura around turkey hunting that he presents in his book.
