Review # 1 was written on 2007-10-08 00:00:00 Abigail Cousins Sirs and Madams, This was the first Ciardi book I ever read, and it was by accident while I was haphazardly shelving in a library. Nothing could have been more fortunate! That night I read what is still my favorite Ciardi poem--"Survival in Missouri." You can't find it in any of his other books, but I swear its worth searching out this one. W, V

Review # 2 was written on 2007-09-28 00:00:00 Marie Seisun Ok, so I haven't read the whole thing...in fact, I only read pieces of it when I'm at a friend's house, but nevertheless, Ciardi's voice, subject, and overall humanity bowls me over; makes me weep tears with a smile on my face because it's all so beautiful. Poets, sheesh!
