Review # 1 was written on 2013-05-01 00:00:00 Patrice Logwood Although this book is chock-full of helpful information for the Midwestern gardener, I find it's lack of photos to be off putting. All we have are skimpy line drawings that seem childish in such a book. That said, I believe I will find this book invaluable as I turn my back yard into a lovely(fingers crossed!)oasis. So, Laara K. Duggan, should you happen across this review, you might want to think about color photos for a future printing! |
Review # 2 was written on 2009-07-26 00:00:00 Joanne Northcott The illustrations in the book are frustrating...I own a book with color photographs, which seems to make all the difference in identifying plants. However, the information is thorough, and I was able to use this as a first-step reference before going to the nursery or the Missouri Botanical Gardens website for more in-depth information. |
