Being born and raised in Chicago, I wish I had the interest in the City's History that I've developed since leaving there. Mark's work contains a wealth of information as he takes us on a great walking & driving tour of the City. I will purchase a copy of this work before my next visit to the City.

After reading this book, I feel as though I know enough about lobbying to be able to have a greater appreciation for our legislative system, and a clearer answer to the question, "how do congressmen shape their views on positions?" The book is almost a step-by-step how-to guide to lobbying, complete with names of important textual resources, phone numbers, and addresses. One thing I realize after reading this book is how truly inaccessible the process is except to the extremely motivated citizen, which I would say is a strength of our system.
