Review # 1 was written on 2020-10-04 00:00:00 Matthew Timmons Picked this up at my favorite used book store when a quick glimpse suggested that this 1995 might offer some interesting perspective on where we are in 2015 re war, conflict, peace, etc. The author got caught out on some things by the chain of events that began on September 11, 2001, but still I found a great deal of food for thought here. |
Review # 2 was written on 2013-01-19 00:00:00 Aaron Sandstrom The final piece of the puzzle in Hatzfeld's trilogy. I recommend reading the other two books first, or this won't make as much sense. He succeeds in making us question what it must be like to be forced to live in the same community as those you previously tried to escape, and may have even watched murder several members of your family. Fascinating. |
