Review # 1 was written on 2020-12-18 00:00:00 David Glista My grandmother read this to us when she visited us on Christmas years ago and I've been trying to find it for a long time without knowing its title. A tender and touching story that is perfect for Christmas.

Review # 2 was written on 2009-12-20 00:00:00 Minbo Wen My mother read this story to my siblings and me every Christmas growing up. Now I read it to my kids. Written by Margaret E. Sangster, this was originally titled "Anniversary" and published in Good Housekeeping magazine in 1936. The text is somewhat halting. Not a problem if reading silently, but somewhat cumbersome when reading aloud. Too many descriptive interjections in the middle of dialogue. Still, it's a sweet story.
