Review # 1 was written on 2019-07-29 00:00:00 David Lessard For the most part, an intriguing fictional read with the author's grandfather's Klondike journal as a backdrop. The protagonist, a plucky orphan, captures the emotion in this coming of age story, and the ending is believable and satisfying. A few modernizing errors, such as "filling waterbottles". There were no bottles as we would understand... Still, worth the read for a feel for the event. |
Review # 2 was written on 2018-12-05 00:00:00 Adora Massie *Spoilers* I found this book while exploring our new library and I liked that it took place in a local area. There were a few unresolved aspects of the story such as what happened to the aunt and what the local guide's connection was to the time travelling. However, that might come up in subsequent books and I enjoyed reading it. |
