This book piqued my interest when I first read the summary, I thought it was going to be pretty interesting but as I read on it wasn't what I expected it to be. I thought there was going to be more action, more depth, more something! It's also a cliffhanger even though it sort of is an sort of isn't. There is an issue at the end that I just can't ignore. I feel like it should be dealt with somehow. I also feel spiteful because of what happened at the end. It was a nice book, it had a few ups and downs but overall it was okay. I liked how Rivers used, I guess you could say more complicated vocabulary. It gets your brain working and you learn new words if you don't know them already.

This would have been much easier to read if the author had used quotation marks. It was especially distracting/confusing in the chapters written in the first person. It was a quick read, and entertaining. I liked the story and the characters, even if the premise was a little odd. As with the other books in the XYZ series, the author introduced a huge issue near the end of the book, and then didn't spend much time on it. I didn't mind that, but others might.
