I'm a longtime fan of Disney Channel's productions...but, I was late to the party with High School Musical. I didn't even see the first telefilm in its entirety until nearly a decade after its release! Still, I made up for lost time by seeing the three movies, not to mention the dreadful spin-off flick Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure, which was a total slam against Amy Adams, but that's another story. After watching the movies in their entirety, what was left? The books! Not the novelizations; the original series that serve as a sort of expanded universe. I read all of the ones my local library system had...but, I wanted more, so, I put in a special request, and, now, I'm one step closer to reading all of the books! How was the book? Well, as a longtime devotee of the Mouse network, I'm probably biased, but...it was a cute story of how Troy, Gabriella, and friends take a trip to the Big Apple, where some big surprises await them. Reading it actually makes me want to take a trip to New York City.
