Review # 1 was written on 2019-12-09 00:00:00 Richard Spradlin I should have known that something describing the crimes of the Borgias would not be fun, but I was not entirely prepared for how not fun this story was. Nonetheless, Dumas tells it extremely well and I was riveted the whole way through. The Cenci story was a surprise (the audiobook I was using didn't mention them in the title) and I am now irrationally furious with a long-dead pope because Beatrice did not deserve a single thing she got. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-03-09 00:00:00 Juan Artolozaga Nothing better to start Lent then to read about a murdering Pope...at least I felt bad for Cenci. I am curious where the show, history and the story of the Borgias mix and are similar and different. A little more research is needed. |
