Review # 1 was written on 2014-03-09 00:00:00 Bevi Cummings This is a great introduction to the murky waters of corporate crime. The edition I have is from 2001, before the economic meltdown of 2008. The state of the law and public opinion has likely changed significantly since this was written, but I found her discussion of the contours of criminal law and the difficulties in applying it to corporate crime to be fascinating and still very relevant. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in this branch of law, or the area of corporate responsibility (or lack thereof). 4.5/5 Stars |
Review # 2 was written on 2009-12-29 00:00:00 James Carlson Fascinating book on targeted transparency policies in government. It gave a lot of context for the ways and reasons that transparency fails or succeeds in general. Additionally, for someone who is for transparency but against compulsory policies, it provided a really thought provoking perspective. Easy to read too. |
