This book presents a basic overview of quantitative communication research backed up with lessons on statistical analysis like t-test, chi-square, ANOVA, multiple regression, and the like. The writing is comprehensive and easy to understand, making it suitable for students who want a quick introduction to communication research and statistics. However, I found some computation errors in the lesson about chi-square statistic (p. 128). That aside, I think this book is okay to be used as supplementary reading for your communication research class.

Reads like two books in one. The first part is an overview of the impact of info/tech transformations on American political history, while the second focuses on how the Internet was transforming politics in early 21st century America.
