Review # 2 was written on 2019-03-25 00:00:00 Roger Williams I have been catching up with the unread Peter Diamond books leading up to the new one coming out this year. It seems like each book gets better. There was much to like here: Peter and car troubles leading to him unwisely driving his boss Georgina's Mercedes, his wily ways of consolidating a team from another office (where he did not want to drive) to work together in Bath under his oversite, re-enactment of Civil War on Lansdown leading to murder and the uncovering of another murder from 1993, the disappearance of a prime horse from that time period as well as working with other teams to investigate Ukrainian sex trade that led to his sergeant being shot....lots of action and interesting characters. Packed Full! A very good read. Library Loan
