Review # 1 was written on 2015-05-12 00:00:00 Andri Dereck Using this in my class as a reference book for a nonfiction project the students are doing on pit bulls and Breed Specific Legislation. the book has basic but good information on what a pit bull is and a brief history of the breed. It also helps students distinguish the types of dogs considered to be pit bulls. It catches their interest and encourages them to research more on the topic. Because it is such a short, fast read it helps reluctant readers enjoy reading. They are able to feel more confident because they can finish a nonfiction book and like the topic.
