Review # 1 was written on 2017-07-27 00:00:00 Christin Scroggins I found this book in Picton Ont, on a clearance rack of books in the naval and maritime museum. I like reading about and seeing the works of Frank Lloyd Wright and have traveled to both the Martin House in Buffalo and the Robie House in Chicago. The book addresses many of the houses that Wright designed and built, and spends great time discussing the ceiling lines, roof lines, overhanging eaves, terraces, nooks and fireplaces that are some of the most telltale signs of a Wright house. This book is by no means an exhaustive or expansive volume on the architect, his work and his legacy but it illustrates quite nicely some features and works that he completed. |
