Review # 1 was written on 2017-05-21 00:00:00 tseng ziv I want to read a history book, not a fan-boy recollection of W.L. Garrison. I understand it was old, but it definitely was not balanced in any way. Not my cup of tea.

Review # 2 was written on 2016-08-05 00:00:00 Krystal Frost This was a pleasant surprise! Yes, it's a bit flamboyant. Yes, like most biographies of the time it's a bit short on details on the home front. Yes, like many biographies at the time, it does put some 'Born to Greatness' polish in the childhood introduction. BUT for all that, it is a solid biography of the man, and of the times. It does not make apologies for the failings of it's subject, or the times. And look who wrote it!
