Review # 1 was written on 2015-10-14 00:00:00 DEREK PELOQUIN Although it's important to read about planning a conference, most people reading this book will have attended one themselves. This book is extremely text heavy with a sprinkling of diagrams. I would have rather seen the opposite. I was looking for more charts to help me organize the conferences I'm involved with. One of the book's highlights is the table that illustrates 25 conference learning activities. I am planning on using some of these ideas with planned Twitter conversations at one of the conferences.

Review # 2 was written on 2016-01-25 00:00:00 Charles Lewis This American Association of Museums pamphlet aims to integrate education and public service as the central purpose of musicological institutions. The authors are concerned with providing quality educative experiences to a diverse audience within a a democratic society. The pamphlet argues that public service needs to be broadened within the mission and operations of museums. According to the authors, it is the mission of museums to engage human interaction with objects and ideas in a rigorous, yet accessible manner. Emphasis throughout is on inclusion and diversity.
