Review # 1 was written on 2019-06-16 00:00:00 Dan Thombs Decent edition+ commentary, but I was so *ANNOYED* by the changes made to the original. It's one thing to abridge for time (and difficulty), but another thing to capriciously alter lines to work in modern, non-Plautine jokes. I'm opposed to that. Write your own play if that's what you want to do; the students reading this will probably never get another chance to read Plautus. |
