Another eye opening series of lectures by Liz Greene and Howard Sasportas. Of course my two favorites chapters, The Parental Marriage in the Horoscope and Puer and Senex were by Liz Greene and mind blowing as usual. Its so enlightening and at the same time depressing to see how our perception of our parents marriage is so blatant in our charts and play such a huge part in how we relate to everyone. I was floored when Liz in interpreting of the attendees charts asked if its okay for her to be personal and when given permission flat out asked her if she has "a propensity for triangles, for attachment to married men?" and the woman responded "Oh, I see" Liz responded with "Good. perhaps we can go on, i hope this was not too embarrassing". Ouch! charts dont lie! That was just an aside. it truly is amazing how she lays out our complexes and how our parents project their subconscious issues on us and we then play them out in our relationships. The other amazing chapter was about the Puer and Senex (Puer-Senex is an archetypal pattern between the "eternal youth" and the "grown up") "One of the most obvious pointers to the puer as a dominant theme in the individuals life is the absence or weakness of the element of earth in the birth chart. Lack of earth seems to suggest that there is a predisposition toward a certain kind of lopsided adaptation to life. The life of the intuition, the imagination and the spirit are often very strong in such a person, and the sensation function - the relationship to material reality - is often weak and undifferentiated." "Identifying something in a horoscope is extremely satisfying, not only to the intellect, but also to the puer, who can then remove himself from direct collision with an emotional experience and can lift it up to the cooler, calmer and more meaningful level of a concept. The creative dimension of this should be obvious, because this is where the puer can bring clarity and light into the apparently random vicissitudes of life. He conceptualizes and turns experiences into patterns which are elusive, beautiful and full of meaning."

Besides having a foundation of knowledge of astrology it's good to have a basic understanding about archetypes before reading this.
