"Papa, what's heav'n?" "Why heaven is God's home . . . . the most amazing place we'll ever get to see." What a lovely, simple, biblical explanation of God's greatest gift beyond His Son. Heaven.

Genre: Picture Book- Religious Awards: None Audience: K-3rd grade A. This book is a 32 page book with minimal text on each page and pictures that are essential to the story. This book would be classified as a religious picture book because the topic of the book is explaining the concept of heaven. B. The illustrator Laura Bryant uses the visual element of color throughout the book by using only light pastel colors in order to keep the mood more happy and uplifting instead of using darker colors. This helps to keep the serious topics being discussed from becoming too dark, scary, and intimidating to younger readers. C. This book, since it is explaining the idea of heaven, would probably not be appropriate in a public school setting. However, I would personally use this book one-on-one with a child who I know is or is seeking becoming a christian to show them the wonders of the afterlife in heaven that God has created for us. D. What kind of animals are illustrated in the book? The book is a story about a polar bear family.
