Review # 1 was written on 2021-03-07 00:00:00 Mark Phillips I used to develop for Windows. The 16 bits version, yes the Windows 3.x ! Using RS 232C back in theses days was a headache, for many reasons: the API was poor, we have to decode the protocole by hand and we have to take care to hadle the characters as they came on a monotask / monothread OS. On the top of that, source of informations were scarce. This book was by far the best source of information. Of course it's outdated, but because it addresses the low level concerns, there are still few book of this kind. Ma note de lecture en Français ici

Review # 2 was written on 2021-04-09 00:00:00 Victor Lebron Interesting mostly because it's written in 1915, so offers a different perspective. The writing is nice, but it and the content are nothing special - contians what it says on the tin.
