Review # 1 was written on 2010-03-28 00:00:00 Jeffrey Wasilewski Warning; this is a book for the serious military history buff (like me) who also has a relative (my grandfather) mentioned several times therein. This regiment was headed by Kalamazoo's Colonel Joe Westnedge, who was beloved by his troops and who died following a German assault with mustard gas. The author, Emil Gansser, was a company commander in the 126th, as was my grandfather, He wrote a day-by-day, battle-by-battle account of the gallant Wolverines, from their training in Texas to the battlefields of France. It's a rather dry account, couched in the vernacular of the times, but I enjoyed it anyway. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-11-10 00:00:00 Dr. Richard Romer I agree with the philosphy of the author that Market Share is not the best long term strategy for a company. However, the author did not do a great job bringing new and interesting ideas out in this book. It was relatively short and very basic. I would have liked it if he expanded on his points a little more. |
