Review # 1 was written on 2010-06-15 00:00:00 David Thomas Narrated by the macho main character who rides a motorcycle, totes guns, and is a repo man. I guess he's suppose to appear "b-a-d" bad but it's a bit overkill. When asked whether he had an appointment, he made sure his gun was visible and got the response from the receptionist that he was looking for. Brocs loves to imbibe in alcohol -- his painkiller of choice for both mental anguish and physical pain. In all this, he does have a kind side when it comes to physically-abused women -- women who are beaten by their men. Ya it's a bit overdone but all in all, a pretty good story.

Another mystery novel, Murder at Timber Bridge, came out this year. I like the way she is able to weave romance and humor into a compelling thriller that keeps you guessing. Brocs Harley, the black sheep of a wealthy family, is a repo man with a degree in Criminal Justice and a background in grand theft and B&E. When his brother, the golden boy who claims all his father love, is murdered, Brocs is the prime suspect.
