Review # 1 was written on 2021-02-09 00:00:00 Luke Hare For 10 years, Don and Theresa Bragg ran a camp for inner city boys in the heart of the pine barrens. Don was an Olympic gold medalist who was once cast as Tarzan in Hollywood, perfect training to run a camp? The books details the struggles, the fun, the rewards, and even some of the heartache of running a camp for 200 underprivileged kids. Along the way, you'll meet a cast of characters from 8 year olds with colorful nicknames, to crazy counselors, all the way up to regular visitor Muhammad Ali. You'll laugh, you'll cringe, and you might cry a bit toward the end.

Review # 2 was written on 2019-02-18 00:00:00 Guy Barlow I picked up this book hoping to find a succint description of the essential tools, gear and knowledge for a beginning camper. What I found instead was a diatribe against people who look to the gear and the tools to ease the way in camping and very little in the way of an easy to absorb checklist. I expect I'll have better luck finding what I'm looking for with a Google search. At least it was a quick read.
