In chef John Sarichs unparalleled fifth book, he guides his readers through ten of his favorite Wine Estates. This outstanding book dedicates a section to each winery starting with Woodinville, Washingtons historic Chateau Ste. Michelle wine estates, and then journeying to the vineyards of Columbia Crest, Snoqualmie, Col Solare and Northstar. Moving south through Oregon, he visits Erath Winery, and on to California's Stags Leap, Conn Creek, and Antica Valley Wine Estates. Each winery is featured in a dedicated section, pictorially and with text, presenting the winerys history and unique qualities. The book opens with an Introduction written by Ted Baseler, CEO of Ste. Michelle Wine Estates and is followed by discussion of wines, and supported by a menu created by the author that expertly pairs recipes with the wines of that estate. Following the tour through the wineries section, the book presents over 140 new and unpublished recipes prepared by the author. Each recipe is accompanied by wine recommendations paired for the recipe. The book finishes with a comprehensive index allowing easy cross-referencing of content to recipes.

I love this cookbook ... why? Because it has WINE! My first thought was that the recipes would be too difficult with ingredients too hard to find. Not the case at all. I made the flat iron steak with the wine marinade and it was so delicious and easy to do. I topped that off with one of their side dish recipes and a dessert! Super easy and it made me look like a gourmet cook at the dinner table!
