This book was a gift, awhile ago. I just finished reading it. What wonderful stories of life in Wyoming. Every story, whether one of a snowmobile trip to Yellowstone, a fishing trip to a mountain lake, or one about her own father are written on wonderful poetry like prose. Her writing is descriptive, beautiful, heart-felt. She feels like she has become a friend. I tried to find out if Betty Starks Case is still alive and have been unable to find an obituary. So I think, maybe that is telling me that she is and is probably about 91 or so. This book was published in 2001, the year of 911, the year of my surgery and chemotherapy for breast cancer and so I feel an affinity for these stories and this author. Even if you do not live in Wyoming or the surrounding area, I urge you to read this collection of short stories. They have a universal theme in many, and they will make your heart sing as you recall your own childhood home state or the place you now call home.

Not a good biography. Poorly written, misfocussed and often tedious to read.
