Review # 1 was written on 2014-12-02 00:00:00 E D One of the most comprehensive cookbooks on no-nonsense, authentic New Orleans cooking. Would benefit from a few more pastry recipes, but that flaw is minor.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-04-03 00:00:00 Terence Butts While comprehensive and authoritative in its scope of New Orleans cuisine, this cookbook was lacking in its presentation--e.g. there are no photos of any of the dishes. The only photos to be had are on the book covers. At least what the publisher could have done was insert some photos of the main ingredients such as crawfish so readers can tell the difference between it and a shrimp.
