I make it a point not to purchase oversize books any more. They can be somewhat difficult to hold and read, and unless you have a tremendous interest in the subject matter, they usually are of little value. I read two biographies about Mosby, so I thought this book would be a sweet perusal read. This book has some nice b/w photos and maps. However, unless you plan to travel the routes and roads and visit the sites in Virginia that are associated with Mobsy, it would be wise to save your money and spend it on another book.

This a really nice compilation of suggested driving tours to find places where notable events occurred and Antebellum buildings that the average person would not find or even become knowledge about on their own. This book seems to be written with the intent to serve as a published tour guide for those who live in or plan to visit the Commonwealth of Virginia. This book's readers should physically visit the sites discussed in this book to be able to fully appreciate it.
