Review # 1 was written on 2013-03-21 00:00:00 Kevin Richmond Not bad to familiarize yourself with some flowers native to AZ, but other than that, there's not much to this book. It is written for opportunistic people who will go on long drives and hikes to see wildflower blooms, which I'm not very interested in. The recipe section was interesting, though most of them just instruct you to make a salad or soup and garnish it with wildflowers. My biggest issue with this book is how much it frowns upon cultivating your landscape with anything other than Arizona's wildflowers, which they spend the whole book describing as fickle. The truth is that in any given region in AZ, there is a limited variety of wildflowers and their blooming period may be very short too. |
