I can't recommend Audre Lorde strongly enough. She has always held a special place in my heart with her elegant and simulating messages of racism and women empowerment. One of the most powerful civil right activists I've ever known - she is very focused and has an effective clarity on what she wants to achieve and strategically transforming it into a sustainable and continual effort in peace-building. "If one black woman I do not know gains hope and strength from my story, then it has been worth the difficulty of telling."
