Review # 1 was written on 2011-03-23 00:00:00 Nura Aliz This is not a fantasy book. It is a novel about a girl who goes away and comes to terms with her past. I have to give credit to Hines for making Eileen not the perfect, likable heroine. This book is a study about the recovery of abuse. A very well written study at that.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-07-18 00:00:00 Jonathan Southard At times harrowing, but ultimately hopeful. This is one girl's journey to put the demons at rest after years of abuse, not just for herself and but for her abuser as well. A slow start but worth persisting. Un-put-downable once I got into it. Incredibly vivid dreams during the reading and for a week after, but very helpful, and - as I said - ultimately hopeful.
