Review # 1 was written on 2010-08-20 00:00:00 Brett Byers As with all of Janet Arnold's books, the scholarship is impeccable. The books' lack of color pictures is always a drawback. But then the books would be completely out of anyone's price range. This book didn't get 5 stars because it didn't contain any patterns or detailed drawings of clothes of the Elizabethean period. I was really hoping for patterns of the effigy's clothes - or at least pictures of the dressed effigy.

Review # 2 was written on 2013-01-27 00:00:00 John Ward ...Wow. Exhaustingly exhaustive; surely a beautiful feat of scholarship, but overwhelming!
