The average rating for Sierra North: 100 Backcountry Trips In Californias Sierra based on 2 reviews is 3.5 stars.
Review # 1 was written on 2010-03-24 00:00:00 James Allport Good in that it lists a ton of possible trips. However, it's organized strangely (segment by segment, so that if you wanted to plan a trip you'd have to flip all through the book - like a "choose your own adventure" book). But, I'm not sure I would have a better way of doing it. Also, the descriptions don't seem to be all that helpful, thus the 2 star rating. The most helpful thing IMO are the elevation graphs for each trail. |

I've used this guide to help plan trips on the Eastern Sierra in the Hoover Wilderness above Twin Lakes and in the Ansel Adams Wilderness near Devil's Postpile. |
