The editors did a wonderful job with this book! The issue of inheritable genetic modifications (IGMs) is very nicely followed, starting with the science behind gene therapy and continuing with the cosmologic model that can best accommodate IGMs, the input of popular culture - mostly that of the cinema-, the feminist perspective, the parallel with the ethics of animal genetic modification, the concerns surrounding the disabled, the implications of IGMs for the infertile, the role of genetic counseling, and lastly public policy considerations.

A facinating book. A collection of many essays from different experts in the field, it discusses the different ethical and practical limits within the field of Genetic Modification and how the ethics vary when applied in a way in which it can be inherited. A really wonderful book and a must read for anyone interested in genetics.
