Review # 1 was written on 2016-10-02 00:00:00 Nicholas Phariss For today's youth who think that photography comes out of an iPhone and is presented as art on Instagram, this book is like visiting the farm to understand that vegetables don't grow from the freezer in microwavable frozen pouches.

Review # 2 was written on 2007-08-28 00:00:00 Aron Timur It would be worth the price of admission even if it didn't include words. Because the images selected are often unearthly, just shivs of light. A truly great collection which draws from so many periods, and there are even some great color plates included. The writing and contextualization aren't bad either. You can probably find this on ABE.com cheap.
