Review # 2 was written on 2020-09-24 00:00:00 Chad Olson Brendan Dawes, makes the ideal of digital design relevant to the design process... as he says'" why can't a computer be as easy to use as a pencil?""And he has a good point. "You pick it up, use it, put it away- no instructions needed. Everytime I approach design, I think of the flawless simplicity and stunning visual feedback of of the humble pencil." It's a fun book that reminds the reader how important creative seeing is. "Why comfort is the enemy of creativity," is a mantra, while his guiding philosophy since first getting into digital design in the early '90's is:"why does it have to be like that?" |
