Review # 1 was written on 2015-08-30 00:00:00 Thomas Brahm This is the second in the three-book series of "Unforgettable..." travel books I have read and, of the two, this is the most maddening. I don't see myself taking off a week (likely more) to take the Trans-Mongolian train ride from Moscow to Beijing or along the Ayeyarwady River in Myanmar or to follow the reindeer migration in Lapland, Sweden - but they look like very interesting and different adventures. The photography is beautiful, information - at this time in 2018 - likely out of date, and the lack of maps is really a huge oversight. It was ok, but I didn't add anything to my travel list. |

Donny and I scanned through the journeys one night in the little sleeping loft, looking for inspiration. I think the Silk Road route and the Midi Canal trip inspired the most... tho recently we've been thinking more about how we might change up our travel style to reduce our flying and therefore carbon footprint... more TBD |
