Review # 1 was written on 2009-09-11 00:00:00 John Harlow She's a wonderful writer who weaves the history of the time, seamlessly with the story. Her books are full of wonderful period detail, such as clothing and food.

Review # 2 was written on 2016-07-06 00:00:00 Sam Rosas I loved this book, It was very descriptive and if that turns you off this is not the book for you. I loved all the detail and information and googled a lot of the artists and designers mentioned in this book. I thought the story was really romantic and kept picturing Colin Firth as Henry Thorpe. This book is absolutely perfect to make into a movie!
