This book helped me immensely. It calmed my fears, really outlined the basics of an IEP. It prepared me to look at my child's strengths and weaknesses with a view towards his best self when it comes to educational goals. I loved the worksheets provided as well as the examples given. It gives you a leg up on being a integral part of the IEP team. The worksheets give you a way to state the needs and desires you have for your child's education in a professional, clear manner. When you are a parent who is trying to be the best advocate for your child, you need all the help and encouragement you can get. This book provided that for me.

Read for my independent study project - summer of 2006. I finished it right before leaving for the Camino, which may be why I have no recollection of it.
