Review # 1 was written on 2018-09-03 00:00:00 Dianna Booze really great material but it was organized so poorly I could barely get through it.

Review # 2 was written on 2019-03-29 00:00:00 Fredrik Jonasson Good overview of a variety of female photographers from portraiture to photojournalism and beyond. The organization was a little haphazard though. The paragraphs changed topic between photographers very abruptly and the corresponding images were often a few pages ahead or after the actual information about the photographer. Some images discussed in the book weren't even reproduced for reference. I wish the chapters had been organized by photographer instead of genre since so many of the photographers shot in multiple genres over their lifetimes and had to be brought up again in each different chapter. I would prefer to read about each photographer's work and life at once without it being crammed in between dozens of others in small pieces over the course of a whole book.
