Review # 1 was written on 2011-10-18 00:00:00 John Brown As a native Minnesotan/upstanding liberal, the rivalry between Humphrey and McCarthy has always fascinated me. Not the Shakespearean touch this tragic story of virtually fraternal betrayal deserves, but this forgotten little book (you should be able to pick it up for pennies) does an admirable job of detailing these two titans' mutual rise, mutual collaboration, mutual distrust, and mutual destruction.
