Review # 1 was written on 2011-06-18 00:00:00 Richard Tropp Fantastic photographs found in the attic of the Medford Historical Society here in Massachusetts. Gruesome in some ways, as most Civil War photography is, but a lot of the landscapes are amazingly minimal and quite beautiful. The ruins of Richmond photographs are stunning. You just cannot imagine that this happened on American soil.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-04-22 00:00:00 Ben Evenrude I have to admit I did not read it cover to cover. This is a book I would like to own so I could pick it up from time to time and read a chapter. The pictures and maps are amazing. To much information. To read what was written about the civil war while it was happening was interesting.
