Review # 1 was written on 2015-03-31 00:00:00 Laprade Sebastien I picked this book up to learn how to cook with an outdoor dutch oven. I got more than I expected. This is a glimpse into how people cooked camp side before high tech came along. This is also a glimpse into how people wrote books. More of a dialog than a pure recipe and how to book. That said: I will not keep this as a reference book, I will not be eating game unless someone gifts it to me, I enjoy the moderate high tech pleasures of outdoor camping and will not back pack with my dutch ovens. Oh, yes, I did figure out how to use my dutch ovens and have gotten good at brazing. Baking is next!

Review # 2 was written on 2011-07-11 00:00:00 Carl Baudoux Some very interesting information. There are several tips I will try. Some of the recipes I think I would only use out of desperation, particularly the one's for rabbit, heart and tongue.
