Review # 1 was written on 2021-02-28 00:00:00 Kimberly Mclaughlin A tremendous amount of thought, other author research, and biblical research went into writing this book, and I found it very good as a supplement to my morning devotional time. The authors used The Lord's Prayer, section by section to write this valuable book on how we should pray. I am including a quote from a chapter on Thankfulness, Hope, Joy which really touched me. "Thanksgiving is the key to opening our hearts, and eyes to see and declare this victory as we become conscious of His awesome presence. Psalms 95:2 says, 'Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving: let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.' Thanksgiving ushers us into His glorious presence. If we will spend time thanking instead of complaining, we'll find ourselves in the right frame of mine to enter His glorious presence. Thanksgiving honors God for what He has done: praise honors who He is: and both will take us into what we like to call "presence prayer," prayer that is fueled by a distinct consciousness of the One to whom we pray." This was my first read by these authors and I enjoyed having a paperback to read along with my Bible reading. It's a book I will refer to again and again. Thanks,
