(Read 4/2/13) An interesting book on developments in the world of robotics and AI. In some ways, the book offered concern in showing how labor jobs are being lost to automation and therefore presenting the need for men and women to up there game in educating themselves to be viable competitors in this new world. The book also offered a sobering reality for robot lovers such as myself in showing the idea of one day seeing a society with autonomous, near conscious androids as our personal servants is more fiction than actual science. Sigh! But there are promising developments for people who suffer from debilitating illnesses and accidents in the form of cyborg-like prosthetics. Also, in lieu of the frightening decline in the bee population, one college has developed a tiny robot that operates in swarms with other similar robots and is programmed to pollinate flowers. If you are a tech lover, read this book. I finished it in two days.

Ok, i lied, i did keep flipping through to look at the pretty pictures, then i put it down in the return to the library pile.
