The book was an interesting read, but the entire time I had to remember two things: it was published in 2007, so the noted research and studies that are listed in the cliff notes could have been updated in the last 12-years, and the the overall view of the topic in the book is politically biased toward the direction of the author's beliefs and the political stance of its publisher. But, hey, I knew what I was getting into when I picked up the copy of the book, as its topic is about government planning on a national and local level.

You want to read a book with very very detailed examples of how the government has royally screwed up, and is still screwing up? This is it. Not very thrilling or fun, but very very specific. Want to know how the government has royally botched the national forests? This is your book. Want to know how city planners screw up cities over and over? This is your book. The list goes on and on...
